From a conceptual point of view the building can be understood as a modular system based on the grouping of cellular units, inspired in two main ideas: the train, because is the Rail Management Centre and the flowers because the Guangzhou nicknamed “flower city”. The material concept is based in the ceramic that is part of the Chinese culture. The Rail Management Centre interpret the image of the company through the language of the building following the planning constraints and create a headquarters building that respect the regional characteristics of the city, integrate the surrounding ecological and establish a balance between the memory of the place and strong architectural expression.
